Wife of Cu Roi, the King of Muster, she fell in love with Cuchulainn and betrayed her husband by showing Cuchulainn the secret way into his impregnable fortress. After a fierce battle, Cu Roi was killed and Cuchulainn was able to ride off with Blathnat. He also took along King Cu Roi's bard, who later that night avenged his King by grabbing Blathnat and hurling themselves off a mighty cliff.
