Open the Irish Gifts of Hospitality and Pub Culture

  • Irish Christmas
1645

Are you already worrying about the hard-to-buy-for person on your Christmas list?  We all know that one person who doesn’t have any hobbies that lend themselves to gifts or who is far more interested in experiences than material things.  You might wish you could just send them to Ireland for a dream vacation, but for most of us, finding the right Irish gifts is more realistic!

What most visitors love about Ireland is the hospitality and the lively pub culture.  It’s hard to wrap hospitality and a lively pub culture, but you can find Irish Christmas presents that help them recreate the atmosphere of an Irish pub at home.  The best thing is that this is a theme you can keep adding to every year, so you won’t be stuck next year either.

Glassware is essential to any pub, and it can be personalized with a family name and coat of arms.  Nothing says Irish pub like a proper Irish pint glass, and Irish whiskey just tastes better in quality glass tumbler.  If you’re looking for something extravagant, nothing beats Irish crystal.

Bar Basics for the Home

A customized bar sign featuring your friend’s name shows real thoughtfulness, not to mention what a unique Christmas present it is!  Other basics to transform a man cave, rec room or kitchen nook into an Irish pub include Guinness signs, bar towels and matts.  And every bar has coasters.  Those can be personalized too to make cherished Irish gifts.

Nothing calls Ireland to mind as vividly as a stunning landscape of an iconic spot.  The surreal beauty of the Burren, the stunning spirituality of Clonmacnoise or the magic of a lively street scene helps the memories and dreams flow along with the libations.  Does your friend have wonderful memories of one of Ireland’s beloved destinations?  Or maybe they dream of visiting the Cliffs of Moher or Connemara.  If you can’t send them there, you can bring an iconic image to them in a photographic print.

One thing that sets Irish pubs apart is the craic agus ceol – the fun and music.  A late night traditional music session with people showing their talent at the tin whistle, fiddle, bodhran or guitar is a quintessential Irish experience.  If your friend has a flare for music, you can encourage them with a gift of a bodhran or tin whistle.  They are much easier to play and more affordable than a guitar or fiddle!

When you are looking for Irish gifts for the home, whether it is for Christmas, a birthday, a wedding or a house warming, the choices are almost too much.  From a simple Guinness bar towel to a set of personalized pint glasses or a stunning photographic print or a bar sign with your friend’s name, you can find just the right thing for anyone who loves Irish pubs and would enjoy creating a bit of the craic agus ceol at home.
