Irish clothing has never been more en vogue or even 'in Vogue' as the famous fashion magazine's U.S. September edition sees a photoshoot in Ireland by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz. The shoot takes place in some of Ireland's most beautiful scenery around the Ring of Kerry, and features popular Irish apparel such as tweeds, aran sweaters and woolen capes. 
 
Here at www.irishshop.com we are getting ready for Fall and Winter 2013 and will be introducing new designs as well as restocking old favorites in the coming weeks. 
 
We have begun already, by introducing more styles of our bestselling Vintage Donegal Tweed Caps from Hanna Hats. This company was founded in Donegal more than 90 years ago and the distinctive tweed caps remain highly popular to this day. 
 
Although the warm weather is still here, we are already finding you want to be prepared for the seasons ahead and Jimmy Hourihan's capes are selling quickly. Jimmy and is his family have been making quality ladies capes in lambswool and cashmere in Dublin, Ireland for over 50 years. 
 
What would an Irish wardrobe be without the world famous Aran Sweater and wool cardigans. We have worked with our customer's favorites Carraig Donn to select the best of their wonderful knitwear just for you. Carraig Donn is a family company originally founded on the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland and continues to use natural fabrics and yarn to make their exquisite knitwear, as they have for generations. 
 
Irish fashion and wool fabrics are not just confined to clothing, and we will be offering items for the home. Our Wool Shamrock Aran Blanket will soon be available again. 
 
Knitwear can make a great Irish gift, either for an admirer of Irish and Celtic styles or someone who is proud to wear the apparel of their heritage. However we would recommend that if you are buying for some one else as a gift and unsure of their size that you compare with a similiar item of clothing they own and even choose a size larger to be sure.
