Irish Necklace | Sterling Silver Book of Kells Apostles Celtic Cross Pendant
A Celtic Cross in Sterling Silver that takes its inspriation from the iconic Book of Kells. This Irish Cross design is said to have been created by Saint Patrick in order to convert the Irish to Christianity. The circle represents the Sun, which was an important symbol of life. The Celtic patterns intertwine and at each point of the cross is a depiction of the writers of Gospel as found in the Book of Kells. Matthew is represented by Man, Mark by the Lion, Luke the Calf and John the Eagle.
