Cherry is theme of the much awaited annual Belleek basket for 2023. Yet again this Irish basket is a masterpiece from the craftspeople at Belleek Potter. Handwoven strands of porcelain create the signature basketweave pattern. The soft, rounded corners create a gentle triangle shape, which evokes the Trinity, so important in Irish faith & folklore.
The outer part of the basket is decorated with Cherry Blossom, whose appearance early each spring brings signs of renewal and hope. It is a symbol of the preciousness of life, rendered in exqusite detail with pink and yellow flowers and green leaves.

Towards the center of the basket we find the rouge, red tones of the cherries, which represent prosperity, purity and good fortune. The vibrant color truly makes this piece stand out.

Each piece is handcrafted in Ireland, and every detail is individually hand painted.
This piece is stamped on the reverse with a special backstamp and is a limited edition, produced only in 2023. Comes in a presentation gift box.
