Irish Christmas Decorations - Deck Your Halls with Irish Gifts
Irene HislopShare
Most of us are going to spend a lot more time at home than usual this Christmas, so why not make your home more fun, festive, and more Irish?
Maybe you can’t bring your whole family into your home, but you can bring your roots with some Irish Christmas Decorations. Christmas looks slightly different in Ireland. In addition to the reindeer and snowmen, robins are a popular motif. Santa often wears green when visiting Ireland, and he goes by his nickname, Santy. Holiday baking starts early with families making their Christmas cakes and puddings several weeks in advance.
At the start of December, homes are adorned with festive lights and Irish Christmas decorations. In addition to the colorful strings popular in North America, Irish homes often feature electric candles in the windows. They are a sign of welcome for the Holy Family and for loved ones returning home for the holidays.
How can you bring some of that Irish charm into your own home this season? Irish Christmas decorations for the tree are the perfect touch to connect with your roots this year, and they also make delightful gifts. You can also find other Irish Christmas decorations that bring a wee bit of Ireland to your home for the festive holidays.
